Introduction
This simple memorial garden adjoining the village hall is designed to celebrate the life of a local resident. The gravel courtyard with south-facing oak seating and raised planting beds create a relaxed space that can be used as part of village events.
The simple use of raised steel edging, an oak bench and drystone walling built by local crafts people in the village and a vibrant mix of perennial planting and ornamental grasses all contribute to create a space that evokes memories of village life and the resident it has been designed to honour.
