Flood risk and Drainage Engineer

You’ll be joining a dynamic, growing design studio with a huge vision with both part and full time roles available to join us at our city centre studio in Chester.

  • Do you have flood risk modelling and/or drainage design experience?

Role Responsibilities

  • Production of Flood Risk Assessments and Sustainable Drainage Strategies.

  • Development and detailed design of new flood risk management and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).

  • Engagement with strategic partners such as Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, Water Authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities and SAB.

  • Collaboration with internal and external design team members, clients and technical specialists.

  • Managing budget and programme control for engineering deliverables.

Experience:

  • Experience of hydrological design software Causeway Flow and FEH/FSR.

  • Understanding of legislation and procedures relevant to Flood Risk Management and Drainage.

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Management, or a related subject, or equivalent years of practical experience.

  • Experience of multi-tasking, working on several projects and client accounts at any given time.

  • Ideally experience of working on projects in Wales and Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management Act.
