Chester Racecourse Project

We’re delighted to be working on a second project with the oldest racecourse still in operation in the world.

Chester Racecourse, which was established in 1539, is just a few minutes from our new city centre office.

We have been working with DGA Architects on designs for the new exclusive Canopies Champagne Garden for the racecourse, ready for when race-goers are expected to be safely welcomed back to the course in May.

The Champagne Garden will have the best views over the Paddock and Parade Ring while the undercover Champagne Garden will offer table service, exclusive betting facilities and spectacular views across the course.

As part of our design work we looked at everything from colours schemes and planting to fencing and surfacing. We specified ornamental grasses with silver plumes swaying in the breeze to mimic the colour and flow of champagne popping and silver surfacing to enhance the champagne tones.

We even recommended a blend of pink and orange roses to reference the colours of rose champagne.
