You’ll be joining a dynamic, growing design studio with a huge vision with a range of roles available to join us at our city centre studio in Chester.
Job Description:
A Senior Landscape Architects’ focus will be to deliver technical and creative output of design information on projects and drive innovative, creative designs in line with the Land Studio valves. A Senior Landscape Architect will possess excellent design and technical experience with some management experience to help take the Studio forward. They will report directly to the Associate Landscape Architect/Associate Engineer.
Studio Management
Attendance and input at the weekly resourcing meetings.
Provide update to management on current project delivery, project programme and any changes
Input into programme, resource and planning of projects.
Provide content for marketing campaigns and social media posts.
Champion all disciplines within the Studio outside the Practice.
Input into writing bids.
Attend networking and/or client engagement events.
Drive improvements on the technical abilities of the team.
Lead on CPD and knowledge sharing sessions.
Compliance with Land Studio Policies and Values.
Project Delivery
Communicate design information creatively, coherently and accurately to the required specification of the Studio.
Lead on projects under minimal supervision of Associate Landscape Architect and Directors.
Lead, deliver and co-ordinate multiple projects at any one time.
Lead and deliver project outputs on time and in accordance with time allocation/budget constraints, with supervision from the Associates and Directors.
Supervise and mentor junior members of the team.
Drive design reviews and lessons learnt workshops.
Awareness of the financial performance of a project and input into requirement for additional fees / manage change.
Attend and implement design reviews.
Undertake QMS procedures for project delivery.
Studio Knowledge and Skills
Chartered Landscape Architect
Lead on CPD activities, knowledge sharing and team study trips.
Drive efficiencies with software and technical advances in the Studio.
Research, monitor and promote best practice in design.
Gain understanding and experience of design across all levels of Landscape Architecture.
Understanding and use of Land Studio Quality Management Systems.
Understanding and use of Land Studio Financial Management tools.
Chartered with over 5 years of design experience.
