Job Description
A Landscape Architects’ or Engineers focus will be to deliver technical and creative output of design information on projects and drive innovative, creative designs in line with the Land Studio valves. A Landscape Architect or Engineer will possess good design and enthusiasm along with some technical experience to help take the Studio forward. They will report directly to a Senior or Associate Landscape Architect or Engineer.
Specific Role Requirements
Studio Management
- Attendance and input at the weekly resourcing meetings.
- Provide update to management on current project delivery, project programme and any changes.
- Champion all disciplines within the Studio outside the Practice.
- Input into technical advances and improvements on efficiencies with output.
- Attend and help deliver knowledge sharing sessions.
- Compliance with Land Studio Policies and Values.
Project Delivery
- Communicate design information creatively, coherently and accurately to the required specification of the Studio under the supervision of the Senior and Associate Landscape Architects and Directors
- Deliver and co-ordinate multiple projects at any one time.
- Lead on smaller scale projects under supervision from Associate Landscape Architects and Directors.
- Deliver project outputs on time and in accordance with time allocation/budget constraints.
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team in relation to design and delivery of project outputs.
- Have an awareness of the financial performance of a project and requirements for change on projects.
- Attend design reviews.
- Undertake QMS procedures for project delivery.
Studio Knowledge and Skills
- Attend and input into CPD activities, knowledge sharing and team study trips.
- Drive efficiencies with software and technical advances in the Studio.
- Research, monitor and promote best practice in design.
- Gain understanding and experience of design across all levels of Landscape Architecture.
- Understanding and use of the Land Studio Quality Management Systems.
- Understanding and use of timesheets and expense processes.
- Effective time management
- Working towards chartership.
