Our ecology field study was interrupted by an inquisitive visitor

Land Studio assistant ecologist Heather Chiles was surprised when she looked down the lens of her night vision goggles – to see a horse staring straight back at her.

Heather, who was carrying out an evening bat survey of a site in Oldham, said: “We use night vision goggles on a tripod to film potential bat roosting sites.

“The sun was just starting to set when I looked down the lens and spotted a horse eyeing me straight back. There were a few horses in the field but Pup, as he’s called, is the curious one in the group.

“He came over at the start of the survey to have a look at me and my equipment and then he trotted off to join the other horses in the field. Maybe he’s thinking about a career in ecology.”

We were really impressed with Land Studio. They are creative, a delight to work with and captured our vision and their own vision perfectly.
