Kate revisits a garden she designed the masterplan for.

Landscape Architect Kate Richard has been back to see how a garden she designed the masterplan for is progressing.

She said: “It was fantastic to recently re-visit a garden in Corwen, North Wales, and see how our designs have been translated into a beautiful orchard and natural swimming pond set within broadleaved woodland in the Dee Valley.

“The clients wanted us to create a masterplan for their garden that could be implemented over time, allowing them to shape their site gradually.

“Heritage varieties of apple, pear and even the local Denbigh plum are thriving in the wildflower meadow, enclosed by a stone wall that is a work of art in its own right.

“And nestled within the woodland, the swimming pond is fed by the site’s natural spring, framed by boulders that were excavated to form the pool. Decking and planting are arranged to provide different places to sit and enjoy views of the water, the woodland and the valley beyond.”

We were really impressed with Land Studio. They are creative, a delight to work with and captured our vision and their own vision perfectly.
