New landscape architect joins the team

Landscape Architect Treicy Isamitt joined the Land Studio team after working as an architect in Chile. Below you can find out a bit more about her.

Tell us a bit about you: I studied architecture in Chile, my country of origin. There I had a professional base related to landscape and construction, respecting the sense and identity of place. This allowed me to give importance to local communities, rurality and respect for nature and I began to focus more and more on the landscape and its relationship in the lives of people.

What’s your role at Land Studio: My role is as a Graduate in Landscape Architecture, and I support different stages of projects and learn more every day about the processes and keys that make a project rich in landscape identity.

Your career to date: I have over eight years of experience as an architect, which helps me to understand the shortcomings of architecture in relation to the current environmental situation. I came to the UK to study Landscape Architecture in Manchester. This helped me understand the local problem, the possible solutions and how to address them according to my perspective - perspective and interests that I am currently developing at Land Studio

What do you like about Land Studio: It is a complementary study, where different professionals collaborate from different points of view. I like that we work in a dynamic and open office with a structure that allows the freedom to understand all the components of a project.

What drives you: I am motivated to create spaces where architecture and landscape can be together, coherently, and hopefully with as little human intervention as possible.

How do you relax outside of work:  I usually like to relax by watching a movie, documentary or series that is action, science fiction or comedy. I also find time to catch up with my family and friends from Chile.
