At Dafarn Newydd, on the edge of Llangefni, Land Studio undertook landscape assessment and design for a new lodge development accommodating a range of lodge types.

A thorough appraisal of local character and views informed a layout that nests the lodges within a structured green framework. New hedgerows, native tree belts and species‑rich meadow areas break up the development, provide privacy and soften visual impact.

The planting strategy enhances ecological connectivity and seasonal interest while remaining practical for long‑term management.

Our landscape‑led design helped demonstrate that the scheme could integrate sensitively with the town’s rural edge, balancing holiday use with habitat creation.
