We carried out a feasibility study for Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
The team were asked to conduct a feasibility study on 13 key gateway car parks along the Pembrokeshire coast, recognising their crucial role as a visitor’s first encounter with the area.
The project aimed to assess and then enhance both functionality and sustainability while preserving the diverse habitats supporting native and migratory species.
Our suggested design improvements included adding green and blue roofs, sustainable drainage systems and rainwater harvesting for public facilities. Upgrades to public toilets (including changing places) and increased accessibility with more disabled parking bays and improved footpaths were also important components.
Additionally, cycling hubs with e-bike charging stations were introduced to promote eco-friendly travel. These recommended enhancements would create a more welcoming and environmentally conscious experience for visitors, ensuring that the car parks blend seamlessly with the natural landscape and contribute positively to the coastal environment.

We were really impressed with Land Studio. They are creative, a delight to work with and captured our vision and their own vision perfectly.
