We conducted a design study on 13 key car parks along the Pembrokeshire coast, recognizing their crucial role as a visitor’s first encounter with the area. The project aimed to enhance both functionality and sustainability while preserving the diverse habitats supporting native and migratory species.

Our design improvements included adding shelters with green and blue roofs, sustainable drainage systems and rainwater harvesting for public facilities. Upgrades to public toilets and increased accessibility with more disabled parking bays were also key components.
Additionally, cycling hubs with e-bike charging stations were introduced to promote eco-friendly travel. These enhancements aimed to create a more welcoming and environmentally conscious experience for visitors, ensuring that the car parks blend seamlessly with the natural landscape and contribute positively to the coastal environment.

We were really impressed with Land Studio. They are creative, a delight to work with and captured our vision and their own vision perfectly.
