Our heritage and visitor destination work often involves helping a site to improve the capacity for future visitor numbers. We also consider ways in which to enhance the overall visitor experience through a careful balance of historic layering and the introduction of new infrastructure.

We have worked with the National Trust’s Dunham Massey team on a number of projects on the 300-acre deer park in Cheshire.
These projects range from commercial masterplans for key parcels of land, ongoing access strategies for staff and a major new visitor access approach at the entrance to the park.
Our work has included improving a number of entrance routes and introducing a new raised boardwalk to connect visitors with one of the estate’s historic entrance routes. Original views that had been lost have been revealed, enhancing the visitor experience.
Careful landscape levels, materials and planting were employed to seamlessly blend the modern buildings with the site’s rich heritage, ensuring that new developments complimented the estate’s timeless character whilst providing accessible routes for all who visit.

We were really impressed with Land Studio. They are creative, a delight to work with and captured our vision and their own vision perfectly.
