At Oakwood Valley Lodges near Welshpool, Land Studio provided full planning support for the extension of an existing lodge park.

Our work included landscape assessment, landscape design and detailed planting proposals.

The layout responds to the valley topography, with lodges arranged to maximise views while minimising cut and fill.

A comprehensive planting strategy introduces native trees, hedgerows and wildflower meadows, creating a coherent, biodiverse network of habitats across the extension area.

This nature‑led approach strengthens the park’s rural character, supports drainage and soil stability, and helps to demonstrate that additional development can enhance rather than compromise the wider landscape.
