Alderley Edge Recreational Area

Land Studio were commissioned by the National Trust on the landscape analysis and design for a new recreational space to create a more coherent spatial strategy and visitor welcome experience with links to the car parking, picnic areas, dog exercise park, pub and tea rooms that engage visitors and enable them to access walking routes and spend more time at the National Trust site.

Site analysis was undertaken taking into account site constraints, surface water management, levels design and highlighting how key strategic requirements can be delivered to suit the budget and programme. Workshops with key stakeholders were undertaken to ensure the design put forward for planning would be taken forward with minimal changes. 

Meetings with the local authority and landscape officer were also undertaken to ensure that with design details produced for a planning application would be approved without delay. We also appointed a quantity surveyor to ensure that an outline cost plan could be produced from the information provided.
