One Park Place, Manchester

One Park Place, Manchester is a site with a rich history of residential development dating back to the 19th century. 

Land Studio were commissioned to provide a landscape and placemaking design which created a welcoming roof terrace for residents and visitors whilst focusing on providing a relaxing and functional outdoor environment. It also required a design of a small underutilised space between the existing buildings to maximise the potential of the space and link this to the existing landscape.

The design incorporated carefully selected plants and foliage within raised planters to create intimate, serene spaces. Wind screening and robust seating areas were included to ensure comfort, while outdoor cooking facilities were added to enhance the social experience. To promote sustainability, the design also featured dedicated cycling spaces and optimized street parking, making the terrace accessible and attractive to a wide range of users .The roof terrace was designed to be a versatile, inviting space that caters to both relaxation and social activities, enhancing the overall living experience at One Park Place.
