We often work on projects alongside architects and construction companies to provide the overall site design and approach. It’s the perfect opportunity to integrate a new building, landscape and sustainable drainage network into the character of its setting. One project saw us working on a new care home being built in North Wales.

We created communal terraced garden spaces for residents to enjoy, used aromatic and colourful planting, considered dementia friendly and sensory garden design and designed gently sloping wheelchair-friendly paths.

The home takes care to the next level and gives all residents the opportunity of lovely and inspiring views while they live out their later years. As well as designing inspiring outside spaces for care homes, our team has designed memorial gardens and beautiful natural burial grounds to allow people to choose a funeral in tune with nature and gentle on the environment.

Marleyfield House Care Home

Marleyfield Care Home

Marleyfield House is a high demand care home in Flintshire which has planning permission for a 32-bed extension.

The scheme to improve the Buckley care home includes increased usable communal outdoor space and accessibility to support the wellbeing of the residents. As the extension building utilises the land immediately to the south of the existing home, the landscape character takes on a rural context.
